The 1st Chalfont St Peter Scout Group does Beavers, then Cubs, then Scouts. That's it! Scouting doesn't stop there, of course. From age 15 onwards they can become Explorer Scouts which is operated at District level. Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Seer Green provide scouts to form the Illustrious Explorer Unit, based in Chalfont St Giles. Meetings are less frequent and less formal than scouts. The Explorers set their own programmes and directly control their activities and finances. They do more adventurous expeditions to more remote areas, get involved in community projects and socialise at a more civil level than scouts.
