Scout Badges and Awards


	Scout Section: Badges and Awards

All scouts have badges to identify their District, Troop and Patrol. Patrol Leaders and APL's get 'stripes' to show their seniority. Details of where these (and other) go on the shirt and scarf can be found here on the Scoutbase Website.

Additionally there are:
6	Membership and participation awards
8	Challenge badges
70	Activity badges
3	Group awards, and finally
	The Chief Scout's Gold Award, which requires achieving the Outdoor challenge, four other challenges and a personal challenge. Not many scouts achieve it and those that do certainly know they've had to work hard to achieve it.
